I’ve been waiting for ThinkOrSwim to release an iPad app. So happy to see this. After playing with it on the iPad for about a day it’s a pretty slick trading app. Great job to the TOS team.

What’s Next for iOS? Better Notifications

Apple has always been known for its clean, elegant user interfaces and designs. iOS is no exception, expect for one problem area - notifications. Its notifications are terrible. If you’re in the middle of doing something and you get a push notification, you have no choice but to deal with it or dismiss it and possibly forget about it.

According to Mac-centric blog Cult Of Mac, “Apple is working on a new notification system for iOS and will be buying a small company to build its technology into the operating system.”

One of my biggest gripes with iOS is the horrible notification system and was one of the major reasons I bought an Andriod phone to play with at the end of 2010. I really do hope that Apple fixes the notification system in the next OS version. As the RWW article pointed out, its a mess now and needs to get better. If Apple wants to buy a startup to solve the problem thats great! Just fix it please Apple!
